We go through our lives making our marks in so many ways. Here, with brush and ink, how we manifest in the world can be seen directly. We appreciate our minds - and our lives - when we make a true stroke of the moment.

Through the act of drawing we understand the world in new ways. In this workshop we will use the drawing practice as way to contemplate the sacred art in the museum. What we choose to draw - listening to what calls to us - is the first step. Slowing down, simplifying the complexity of what we see, is the path we will walk together. Combining our drawings with words on the page brings forth fresh insight. No previous art experience is necessary. Beginners mind is all that is needed. We will work with pencils, pens, and simple coloring techniques.
