Ending Strokes

From 2001 to 2018 I was part of the Creative Process team at the Authentic Leadership in Action conferences.
At many of these gatherings I executed a spontaneous stroke at the end on a large length of paper
with hundreds of people gathered around.
I became the visual voice in that moment, grounding on the page, riding the energy, lifting off.
Here are some of those strokes - joining heaven and earth with a large brush and black ink -
ending with the brightness, warmth and delicacy of the human mark in red.

Performance Paintings

Over the years I have collaborated with musicians and
dancers in performance, creating large murals on the spot.
In this alive environment there is no time to stand back and contemplate.
I have to rely on a deeper, wider knowing.

Here is what landed on the page and on the wall.
